Delivering exceptional coffee across Australia takes more than great beans, it takes craftsmanship, precision, and consistency.
The opening of Soul Origin’s Epping drive-thru marks a major milestone for the brand, bringing specialty-grade coffee, La Marzocco engineering and Brewtech’s installation and service into a fast-service format. The result: speed, precision, consistency, and a new blueprint for expansion.
As one of Australia’s leading food and coffee franchises, Soul Origin has always worked toward one mission: deliver consistently great coffee, wherever customers are. With more than 165 stores nationwide, that commitment has guided the brand’s rapid growth from Melbourne to Darwin.

To support expansion at this scale, Soul Origin has relied on more than skilled baristas, it has leaned on the equipment powering every cup. After nearly a decade with La Marzocco machines, the business partnered with Brewtech in 2016. By 2020, the partnership had become national, united by one focus: consistency.
“A La Marzocco isn’t just a tool, it’s a signal of excellence… I don’t believe you can buy something better.”
– Sam Taylor, National Manager, Soul Origin

Today, Brewtech supports Soul Origin’s full coffee platform across more than 150 stores, by overseeing installation and servicing. Every new store, including the Epping drive-thru, launches with a fully fitted, fully tested coffee bar designed for reliability and workflow efficiency.
Every Soul Origin location features a La Marzocco Linea PB 3 Group, providing dependable performance and consistency, and Wally Milk steamers for precise, automated milk texturing.
From day one, baristas step into a fully dialled-in setup. Customers get the same exceptional coffee, no matter the store.
As Sam takes us through the brand history, he explains “Soul Origin has worked with Brewtech ever since our first store in 2016… Now they’re our national supplier for both technical support and machinery.”

Brewtech’s national service model, supported by app-based tracking and rapid equipment rollout, gives Soul Origin network-wide visibility, proactive maintenance and peace of mind that protects cup quality and minimises downtime.
Nine years on, Sam says “We now factor servicing into quality assurance reporting, it drives the right conversations around cleaning, calibration, and long-term care. Their technicians (Brewtech) reflect our values in every visit.”
For Soul Origin, La Marzocco represents more than machinery – it stands for craftsmanship and trust.
“A La Marzocco is like a shield of professionalism. When a customer sees it, they trust the barista behind it”, Sam elaborates.

From one Melbourne store to a national network, and now a thriving drive-thru model, Soul Origin, La Marzocco, and Brewtech continue to set the benchmark for consistent, high-quality coffee at scale.
