exploring the future of espresso machine connectivity
La Marzocco is thrilled to announce its first-ever Connected Days event which went live on March 18th. This live-streamed keynote explores how connectivity is shaping the next generation of espresso machines.
For nearly a century, La Marzocco has been at the forefront of espresso innovation, and in recent years, the company has taken the lead in integrating connectivity into its machines. From smart manufacturing to enhanced user experiences, these advancements are transforming not just how espresso machines operate but also how they contribute to sustainability, efficiency, and coffee quality.
connectivity meets espresso excellence
The integration of IoT (Internet of Things) technology has unlocked a new level of functionality in La Marzocco’s machines and grinders. With IoT gateways now embedded in most new models, baristas and home users alike can enjoy a more personalised experience, ensuring greater consistency in every cup. Beyond the café, connectivity is driving sustainability initiatives—such as projects that monitor the health of coffee plants, helping to improve coffee production at its source.
a commitment to innovation
Over the past decade, La Marzocco has invested heavily in modernising its infrastructure, from R&D to smart production lines. These upgrades have not only improved the work environment for employees but have also enhanced machine functionality, creating a seamless connection between technology and craftsmanship.

introducing the new la marzocco app and grind-by-weight
The new La Marzocco App for iPhone and Android is designed to replace both the La Marzocco Pro App and the La Marzocco Home App.
Now, Home and Professional machines can be controlled in one location with added functionality. Aside from standard features like eco-mode scheduling, dose programming, and temperature control, the new app can now connect directly to the Pico Grinder and Swan Grinder, as well as the La Marzocco Connected Scale. To help users manage their connected equipment, the new app is also launching a new feature: Coffee Station.
coffee station
Coffee Station allows users to pair their La Marzocco connected equipment into unique ecosystems. This lets people create unique spaces like their home kitchen, café, or office coffee bar with the exact equipment each location has. Pairing your equipment through Coffee Station has another advantage: Grind-by-Weight.

grind-by-weight
Grind-by-Weight uses the La Marzocco Connected Scale to automatically stop grinding when the desired coffee weight is reached in the portafilter. With Coffee Station, users can now pair their compatible Home or Professional equipment in ways that unlock new functionality. By pairing a Linea Mini, Pico Grinder, and La Marzocco Connected Scale, users can seamlessly switch between Grind-by-Weight and Brew-by-Weight modes based on where the scale is positioned. When pairing a Swan Grinder with a compatible Professional espresso machine, Grind-by-Weight automatically saves the number of burr rotations needed to achieve specific weights so that users can switch seamlessly between Grind-by-Weight and Grind-by-Revolution modes if the scale needs to be charged or if they want faster workflow.

grind-by-weight kits will be available soon.
and more
Aside from new features, the new app connects to your devices with lightning-fast speed and improves on the consistency of the app connection. Other features on the app include automatic backflushing, improved espresso statistics, dose programming for grinders, and more.
